Casablanca came to Sunrise this morning with Toastmaster, Jill’s ‘Play It Again’ theme, where each speaker was evaluated immediately after their presentation.
Where appropriate, recommendations were made, which each presenter was then encouraged to consider and re-present immediately.
Although all speeches were entertaining and informative, everybody felt this was a valuable method of upgrading performances.
Inspirer, Jesse began with a relevant and clever impersonation of Bogart that set the meetings informal, relaxed style which Jill carried through as Toastmaster of the day.
Grant animated animal metaphors as Stockmarket Investors.
Kathy stretched the friendship continuum from Acquaintances through to Frenemies.
Jordan, with a well researched example, defended the principle of sticking to one's brilliant beliefs and not allowing them to be shot down by well meaning friends.
Table Topics presenters also were subject to instant evaluations and re-presenting parts of their mini-speeches.
Carol (who to those that that have not visited our planet for several months will not know, is retired) reasoned a relatively serious evaluation of the meeting. It is suspected that this may be a temporary aberration of simple friendly encouragement.
A fitting and inspiring beginning to the day.
Thanks Sunrise.
